A Vibrant Autumn Wedding at the Science Museum of Richmond

This colorful and heartfelt Richmond VA wedding was such a joy to document! Katherine and Jordan are both artists and it was so special to be surrounded by all the personal details they’d created for their wedding day at their historic church home and the Science Museum of Richmond - as well as all of their lovely family and friends, too :)

Some of my favorite moments and details were: the rainbow of bridesmaids’ dresses, the fall leaves just starting to change in the cooling October weather, the dozens of nieces and nephews running around having fun all afternoon, when the couple danced to the song Rainbow Connection :’), and feeling like we’d gone back in time a bit in the museum atrium with the sign head “News & Cigars” and all the marble and intricate details.

If you’re looking for a cocktail hour activity that will be fun for kids and kids-at-heart alike, hosting your wedding at the Science Museum and getting to experience the interactive exhibits with a drink in your hand between the ceremony and yummy dinner is absolutely a hit! I’d love to work with any other Richmond couples planning their wedding around the city - it was super fun to drive down from Baltimore for this day. Now, the inspiration of this happy, colorful wedding day!
