New Annapolis Courthouse Wedding Layout
I joined this amazing couple on a rainy day in Maryland for their elopement this year. They had the coziest ceremony inside the Anne Arundel Circuit Court’s ceremony room. Afterwards, they were great sports are were up for some outdoor photos even though there was a steady drizzle throughout our time, ending with a full downpour along the Annapolis City Dock!
But back to the civil ceremony - the registrar’s office recently re-oriented the ceremony space to face a different wall, which actually improved the lighting situation and simplified the background. Now the window light shines toward the couple at the front, and the somewhat random sconce on the wall behind the couple actually provides a nice, soft rim light, in my opinion. As far as decor, there is always a bouquet on the table with the book where the couple signs (and an optional witness), to the left of the ceremony space. They took down some of the decor that was at the previous front of the room (now to the right when facing the front), and it isn’t very noticeable while watching the ceremony.
