Timeless Wedding Photography at DC Venue Meridian House

If you’re ever wondered where some of the most beautiful DC weddings take place, you’re going to love seeing all the picture-perfect views of the Meridian House property. This Washington DC wedding at Meridian House - a stunning DC wedding venue with tall windows, a library, perfectly manicured gardens, and so many different boldly decorated and designed rooms available for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and wedding parties and receptions - one a highlight of my wedding season.

This Washington DC wedding venue can accommodate up to 150 guests, with a cap of 130 recommended for the most comfortable set-up, according to their rental page. Because it has many different rooms that can all be opened up or separated off, you can truly customize your wedding day flow. Book lovers might use the library room for a ceremony, and nature-lovers the gardens for the reception of a smaller wedding. Jamie and Jack, with the expert guidance of Laura and team from Ida Rose Events, an inclusive and luxury DC wedding planning company, held their ceremony on the lawn behind the mansion, their cocktail hour at dusk around the gardens and main hall, their dinner service in the library and connected great room, and lastly their party space in the ballroom across the main hall.

I remember Laura telling me Jamie and Jack gave her some loose parameters for their Washington DC wedding design, such as bold colors, their love of games, and nature, and her team ran with it. With three iterations of table design, the dinner settings stunned all the guests with jewel tones, dripping floral arrangements by the DC floral team Darling and Daughters, and an eclectic mix of vintage and modern tableware. They also included a show-stopper seating chart with individually boxed games for each guest, an asymmetrical floating floral arch to tie the ceremony together, and flowing floral installations on each fireplace’s mantel throughout the party.

Jamie and Jack truly enjoy each other’s company and you’ll see them laughing and snuggling throughout their DC wedding day in this photo set. They genuinely enjoy their friends and family so much, and I loved getting to photograph and provide them with full documentation of their wedding day at this timeless DC wedding venue.
